Nothing I Can Do

Here’s a behind the scenes look at when we recorded ‘Nothing I Can Do ‘ in the summer of 2025. We had already laid out the framework for the track in the demo but had a holding area for Dotz to come in a weave his magic. Theres a narrative back and forth between the rap and the sung parts with Dotz being the storyteller and the sung parts being the more inner monologue with the chorus being the emotional output that links the two together.

Production wise the demo laid the ground work but it was very open to interpretation and the pacing was initially a little slower tempo. The chorus key was changed and it became a lot heavier and aggressive sound.

Dotz came in had been given a narrative path prior to recording but also free rein to interpret how he saw fit. Like any good rapper, he was well prepared to write on the fly and we had areas we knew we needed to fill on the day. I love to collaborate with artists and theres nothing more that gets the adrenaline flowing than working out a track on the day.

the production of the artwork for the single ‘Escape’ which was released on the 2nd January 2026. The incredible artwork for the cover was created by Axell Mejía and is a homage to Thin Lizzy’s classic album cover for ‘Jailbreak ‘. That cover adopted a comic book style with its ‘War Of The Worlds’ vibe and its prison ‘Escape’ visual narrative so it felt like a natural fit to add a little Broken Gods twist and Axell nailed it!

Escape

Here’s a behind the scenes look at the production of the artwork for the single ‘Escape’ which was released on the 2nd January 2026. The incredible artwork for the cover was created by Axell Mejía and is a homage to Thin Lizzy’s classic album cover for ‘Jailbreak ‘. That cover adopted a comic book style with its ‘War Of The Worlds’ vibe and its prison ‘Escape’ visual narrative so it felt like a natural fit to add a little Broken Gods twist and Axell nailed it!

Temper

Here’s a behind the scenes look at the production of the artwork for the single ‘Temper’ which was released on the 14th November 2025. The incredible artwork for the cover was created by Axell Mejía and is a homage to Queens classic single cover for ‘Bohemian Rhapsody ‘. We wanted that classic rock style that embodied Queens iconic cover but with a Broken Gods twist and Axell hit the ball out of the park with this one.

Gonna Be Your Man

Here’s a behind the scenes look at the production of the single ‘Gonna Be Your Man’ which was released on the 18th July 2025. The track was recorded at Damage Audio Studios and Produced by Ben ‘Faz’ Faresvedt in March of 2025 with Danny Barton coming in to play lead guitar, Lucas Hammond on drums and the lovely Rita Raile as the voice of Heartbreaker. The incredible artwork for the cover was created by Axell Mejía.

GUITAR TWANGLING GOODIES

Danny Barton came into work his magic on guitar. One area I struggle with on guitar is solos, and even though I’m taking lessons I always factor in some quality guitar twanging and Danny is amazing at not only playing but working with me to find exactly what I have in my head.

DUELLING JOANNAS

Danny Barton came in again to work on adding some much-needed piano authenticity. Why have one piano when you can have two? (technically the seconds an organ) The more the merrier I say…

BANG THE DRUM

With Lucas Hammond on drums, drum days can be quite a mechanical process especially as a relative bystander. Although Lucas had worked up the part, it can all change on the day. Faz is always one to mix it up and throw a curve ball in on occasion, sometimes I think just to test Lucas’ skills. When you’ve locked in a groove for the past month and then asked to switch it up, it can take a little while to sit into the new beat as Lucas found.
